This “Party in a Pie Plate” won the 2023 KCRW Good Food Pie Contest Second Place ribbon in the Cream Category! I am offering two pies by Raffle Ticket for the Pies for Justice Juneteenth Fundraiser.

The winning Raffle Tickets will be randomly drawn Thursday June 15th at 6 PM. Raffle Tickets sold on the website will be added into the Raffle Tickets sold in person Saturday 6/10 in front of the Beachwood Market (2701 Belden Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068) at my Pies For Justice Bake Sale from 9 am - 1 pm.

Why did I make this pie? Bananas were grown commercially in Beachwood Canyon at the turn of the 20th century not 200 steps from my front door. This is a Banana Cream Pie that incorporates the famous New Orleans Bananas Foster dessert offering. All organic ingredients including Central Milling Organic Malted Beehive flour, Straus Family Creamery butter, milk for the infused banana custard and whipping cream. The banana chips are hand dipped in fair-trade dark chocolate. Good luck!
