For the Pups

Dogs are very important members of our family. In fact, we have a pretty extended dog family throughout Beachwood Canyon. Pup Treats are easy to bake, and my recipes are full of organic, human grade natural ingredients that dogs love. Bananas, peanut butter, honey, cacao chips and other yummy stuff that is good for them. Super fun to make and you will make lots of four legged fur friends forever. Come on by and we will cook up a batch!

Each year Allie Bakes has a Howliday Dogtail Pawrty just before Xmas for humans and their fur friends. We have some dogtails, pup treats and cookies and do a little pawrade through our Beachwood neighborhood. Please join us next year!

Dog Rescue Groups Supported by Allie Bakes

There is a husky epidemic in Los Angeles. Beyond the normal level of huskies in the shelters, “Game of Thrones” fans have been buying huskies in droves. Once owners understand the commitment the breed requires, they are abandoned. The numbers of stray and surrendered huskies in California shelters has increased four-fold over the last few years. California is not a No-Kill state, so there are round the clock efforts to rescue these dogs from the streets or shelters where they only have so long to be adopted before they are euthanized.

A writer in the UK named Maddie Packham reached out with a piece she has just written about the 15 Key Benefits of Adopting A Rescue Dog. Unbelievably, over 3 million dogs are sent to animal shelters every year, and she is desperately trying to help educate people about the benefits of adopting over buying from a breeder

Either through fundraiser hikes, merchandise design, email campaign design, Facebook page administration, dog record database management, or transporting dogs, these are the three main dog rescue groups I directly support.

If you are looking to adopt a dog, please check the websites with these reputable groups. And they can always use donations, financial or food or dog beds or volunteers!
